The stairway from your very own private entrance (only one flight of stairs) .  I just love the Industrial Chic Architecture throughout the Guesthouse.

A Close-Up of the art on the wall, reminding us to enjoy life, travel and live your dreams, because yes, life is short.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

Just about all the stairs you need to climb, which is just right for someone like me.  I’m not a huge fan of climbing stairs.

The above photo shows the enormity of the Deluxe Suite, and this is only a portion of the Suite.  Above the Main Bedroom, with a very chic industrial roller door for extra privacy.

Those couches in the living room area are super comfortable and everything you need. From DSTV (Digital Satellite TV)  to a DVD player are supplied. (DVD’s as well !)

View from the main bedroom to the living room and the smaller patio just behind the windows.

The pool as seen from the smaller patio.  You can also see the second (bigger) patio of the Deluxe Suite which has a different entrance.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

I just love the architecture of the Guesthouse – look at those industrial runners with the lights – gorgeous ! Ok, I have a thing for this kind of Architecture !

The entrance to the huge master bathroom is at the back, left, with not only frosted doors, but curtains as well.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

You can enter the bathroom to the left or the right – a hand basin on each side. And you can enter the walk-in shower from both sides as well.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

Large hand basins on either side with plenty of storage. And the most amazing hand wash liquid is also supplied (just one more little detail which adds to the charm of Sunset-Loft).

Huge walk-in shower with a wonderful rainforest-style shower.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

The toilet is conveniently right at the back of the shower at the end of the bathroom.  Another guest toilet is in another part of the suite.

Big, open-plan Dining-Kitchen area – the Kitchen has actually been used in some television food shows!

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

Fully equipped kitchen for those of us who like to do our cooking ourselves. I only do that on long stays however – should you need anything else, Ellen is always around !

Visiting during the cooler months ? A big fireplace is situated just behind the Dining area, with wood and everything else you might need, supplied at no additional costs.

Above you can see the entrance to the larger patio. The Desk area for those of us working or just checking e-mails etc. And the door to an adjoining bedroom (optional extra) – to the far right is yet another entrance to a smaller sleeping area with a double sleeper couch.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

The Desk area comes complete as you see above, a screen and all adapters you might need.

Out on the bigger patio, overlooking the pool and the garden.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

And of course a huge wood burning BBQ with everything you need – from the wood to the matches.

The sleeping area with a double sleeper couch and the guest toilet close by with yet another entrance to an adjoining room.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

Table Mountain is of course one of the biggest attractions in Cape Town. The view from Sunset Beach is absolutely stunning – our first day was clear, high temperatures and almost no wind.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

The following day was cloudy, but nice, not cold at all.  The wind did pick up some though, but that is expected from Cape Town weather.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

Robben Island, where one of our previous Presidents, Nelson Mandela, was incarcerated for 18 years of his 27 years of prison life. On a less cloudy day the Island can be seen better. In Cape Town city you will find the Robben Island ferry, which if you are interested, will take you on a tour to and around the prison.

Sunset-Loft Guesthouse Review (Cape Town)

Ending with a view of Table Mountain from Sunset Beach – just look at those clouds hanging right on top of the Mountain ! ps : Cable cars can take you up the Mountain where you can spend a few hours or a full day.

Thank you to Sunset-Loft, Ellen and Georg for exceeding our expectations by far ! This is one Guesthouse you have to put on your bucket list, whether you are from abroad or local.
