A bite sized Appetizer or snack is always a winner and these Peach and Cheese Ball sticks are absolutely divine !
If there is one type of food I will always give preference to, it is anything on a stick ! These Peach and Cheese Ball Sticks are no different and we all loved them.
I buy a monthly magazine, affiliated to one of our supermarkets, and I always find more than one recipe to try out in each magazine.
The recent edition were packed with food on sticks (and yes, I tried more than one). But I have to say that I changed this recipe to suit my family’s taste and only stuck to the idea and somewhat of the recipe.
I served these Peach and Cheese Ball Sticks as an appetizer and they were all gone in a flash. You will also notice that I did not thread each stick in the same order. Instead I gave preference to the cheese balls and peach wedges to use as a base (makes the sticks stand upright better)
The sticks also do not have to stand upright, you can lay them flat as well. I did a mixture on our main platter. Some standing up, others I left on their sides and the platter as a whole still looked quite impressive.
I also used Yellow Cherry Tomatoes because for some weird reason, the Tomato seeds hubby and I planted this year, turned out yellow tomatoes.
The packet says RED Cherry Tomatoes, but all of them turned out yellow and also have a pear kind of shape. No idea what they are really called, but we do like them, a little sweeter than the red variety, and also a bit less tasty overall.
Stick to Red Cherry Tomatoes if you prefer, I only used the Yellow as I hate wasting any kind of food, especially when we grow them ourselves.
