Strawberry Krispie Hearts will win your Valentine sweetheart’s instantly this Valentine’s Day ! Only 5 ingredients – including the Chocolate drizzle and Sprinkles.
There are only 5 ingredients in these delicious Strawberry Krispie Hearts and that includes the Chocolate for drizzling and the Sprinkles. So really only 3 ingredients in the Krispie treats on it’s own (which by the way is just as delicious !).
Since December last year, I have been living on cereals and granola on and off. Out of the blue I can not stand the smell of food cooking, any food, or eating cooked food, not even the best cooked steak.
BUT, there are those odd days in between where I wake up and all is normal.
One good thing is that I have lost about 12 kilograms (roughly 26 pounds), although I know it is not a healthy way to lose weight.
I spoke to some people whom had the same thing happen to them and it seems this kind of thing lasts about 2 months. For now, I’ll ride it out and if my usual appetite does not return soon, I’ll go see the doctor.
Anyhow, back to me eating cereals – of course I had to change it up every second day or so, because who can stare the same bowl of cereal down every single day.
We always have at least three to four boxes of Coco-Pops in the pantry and I also buy a bunch of other cereals as my son and I like a wide variety.
One day last week, I was having a bowl of Coco-Pops and thought of making some Valentine’s Day treats, but instead of the brown Coco-Pops I decided to use Kellogg’s Strawberry Pops.
I mean it is pink after all, strawberry flavored and just perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Same thing as the plain Rice Krispies, but Strawberry flavored.
And I have all these silicone pans lying around with about 4 different sized heart shaped ones.
Using the silicone pans made everything a breeze, press the Krispie mixture into the pans whilst hot, let cool to set and press them out from the bottom – easy, peasy !
If you can not find a box of Strawberry Pops in your store, have a peek at International Foods Online (I am not an affiliate).

These look yummy! Unfortunately we can't buy the Kellogs strawberry pops here in the Nederlands. I have bought some plain krispies last time I was in England so maybe I could do it with a little strawberry flavouring. Thanks for sharing.
